Hide and Machinery Trade LLC (HMT) runs hidemachinerytrade.com: a B2B showcase for hides, leather and tannery machinery. Tanneries, hide traders and machinery companies publish lots and machines, search the catalogue and write to one another. Experts and inspectors can offer inspections. Guests may look around first. You join when you want to buy, sell or write to a company.
HMT is a directory and a contact channel. It is not a broker, not an escrow service, and not a payment platform for the goods.
What you find on HMT
A searchable catalogue of hides and tannery machines. Purchase programs from tanneries that buy on a regular cycle. Private messages between companies. Assignments and anonymous feedback after a sale, purchase or inspection is closed. Public trade history hides counterpart names.
How We Work
HMT operates strictly as an information and networking directory.
No Financial Intermediation: We do not handle, process, or manage financial transactions between buyers and sellers. All commercial negotiations and payments take place directly between the involved parties outside of our platform. HMT does not take a commission on those trades.
The only payment HMT may collect is the subscription to use the service after the free period. Founding companies that join by 30 June 2027 receive six months free, with no card at signup. After that the monthly fee is €12, minus €1 for each invited company that joins, never below €6. Later joiners receive 60 days free, then the same fee. Experts stay free. That fee is for access to HMT, not for the goods.
Verified Community: Access to the full catalogue, listings and messaging requires a company registration. We ask for a company tax ID (VAT or TIN): one tax ID, one profile. Email is confirmed before the account is active. Commission agents cannot register. HMT does not authenticate lots, machines or counterparties. You remain responsible for your own due diligence, inspections and payments.
